Beer Blurb

Whether you be leaning alone, enjoying the company of a fresh newspaper and a pint of the usual whilst thanking God for the company of dogs for us to walk, or you be standing amongst company of a good nature but dubious standing, or perhaps seated with honourable, upstanding companions waiting for one of them to stand up and do the honourable thing and get a round in.  It might be the daily coffee and muffin fix, a quiet pint after work or a bowl of nourishing stew with a glass of Porter.  Whatever the circumstances in which you find yourself reading this may be, we believe your surroundings should be clean andcomfortabel, the atomsphere ought to be of a relaxed, genial persuasion and your hosts should reflect the surroundings without the use of mirrors.  As good service is in danger of becoming an endangered species, the art of conversation has no space to exhibit its colour, depth and form due to the construction of some vast information super-highway and the thumb's bid for World Domination (well, what did you think they'd been opposing to all these years?) and good, honest local hosteleries have been usurped by sports bars and two dollar Tuesdays, we decided to Carpe the Diem and take the crash course in City Council Legislation and Liason.  We pondered the merits of genetically modified staff and bionically brewed beer.  A bartender with eight arms would be useful but the bill for hand soap would have be prohibitive.  Beer produced in the blink of a lazy eye?  Some things you just don't encourage.  We only stock beer brewed by the Sprig & Fern Brewery.  They only make beer from grain, humulus lupus and h2o which are carefully milled, mashed and boiled before being cordially introduced to one of the numerous caged yeasts they keep in a dark place at the brewery.  Each one has been selected for its unique character and solid work ethic.  Just like our staff.
