The Sprig & Fern Tavern on Ellis St in Brightwater provides the perfect location for parents to stop for a coffee with the kids, relax with a beer after work or hold a club committee meeting. The tavern has quickly turned into Brightwater community hub as well as being a favourite "local" serving Sprig and Fern craft beers.

Regular Live Music

The Sprig & Fern Tavern in Brightwater is a long venue that works well. Towards the front is more of a "living room away from home" with the real wood fire glowing in winter and the comfy armchairs. At the rear is an area used for live music on the weekends. Joining both areas is the long bar and helpful bar staff ready to take your order and pull award winning Sprig and Fern beers, ales and ciders.

During winter the Tavern is closed on Mondays but is available to local groups as a meeting place or for functions. Just check with the staff for details.

Wide choice of food to enjoy

The coffee and cake selection are hard to resist as is the menu of tasty hot food. Like Milton Street and Queen Street Taverns, there's a takeaway next door offering a full range of easy meals that you can enjoy with a quiet pint, or get a group of mates together for a sociable feed together.

Like all Sprig and Fern Taverns, Brightwater has an off-licence so you can take a rigger home or fill a few to take with you when travelling you destination south of Nelson.
