The Sprig & Fern is set to open a new Tavern in Mapua. The ninth Tavern to open under the Sprig & Fern umbrella will be in the former site of 'The Tap' on Aranui Road. The new business will be owned and operated by Peter Fry and Sue Bloomfield who own the popular Sprig & Fern Tavern in Motueka.
The Tavern will serve all 18 craft beers and ciders from the Sprig & Fern Brewery as well as local wines, spirits and soft drinks. The venue will have a food menu and serve bar snacks.
Sprig & Fern Brewery Owner and Head Brewer Tracy Banner said, “We’re really looking forward to being part of the Mapua community as this is one of our key brand values. We've been inundated with requests in recent months from local residents to have a ‘Sprig’ in Mapua so when the site came available for lease we were thrilled that we could make this happen.”
Peter Fry said, “It’s been a busy few months running the Motueka ‘Sprig’ and working on the Mapua project but we’re looking forward to seeing the changes to the building and most importantly greeting customers for a beer or a coffee when we open in the Autumn.”
